Fenerbahce vs Trabzonspor Soccer Betting Tips

Does Fenerbahce take the last chance to limit damage?

The canaries have forgotten how to fly. Starting the 2019/20 season with great ambitions, the “new” Fenerbahce – as the club president called it – has come down to the ground. The summer break has failed and another season in the Süper Lig ends without a championship.

Fenerbahce can still win a title as damage limitation. In the Türkiye Kupasi, the Turkish cup competition, the canaries from Istanbul are in the semi-finals. After a 1-2 away defeat in the first leg, Fenerbahce’s return leg against the leaders from Trabzon is on Tuesday evening.

Surprisingly, Fenerbahce is against Trabzonspor according to odds of the best bookmakers in the favorites role. Neither the shape nor the home advantage speaks for the canaries from Istanbul. Last weekend, Fenerbahce’s best performance was not exactly seen under the new interim coach Tahir Karapinar.

Accordingly, we hold Fenerbahce vs. Trabzonspor a prediction on the home side is not really obvious. However, since the canaries are likely to go into the game with an all-or-nothing mentality, we would advise against betting on the 1X2 market anyway.

Fenerbahce – Statistics & current form

Fenerbahce has won Turkey only once in the last nine seasons. Last season, ex-club president Aziz Yildirim felt the resentment of the fans clearly. It was therefore to be expected that Fenerbahce would take the next step and initiate changes. So far, everything has gone wrong under the new club president Ali Koc.

Missed the championship again

In the worst scenario, Galatasaray is champion again this season and continues to go past Fenerbahce after titles – it would be the 23rd title for archrival. As in the previous summer, a major change in the canary squad is expected this year. In addition to a new trainer, the entire squad is expected to be restructured.

In order to do some damage limitation this season, Fenerbahce still has the chance to win a title. In the Turkish Cup, the Canaries from Istanbul are in the semi-finals and have to make up for a 1-2 away loss from the first leg against Trabzonspor.

No clear game concept

Tahir Karapinar is Fenerbahce’s new interim coach until the end of the season. The 53-year-old was hired as the next season’s youth coach, but will temporarily take over the professional team. Most recently there was a home win under Karapinar despite being outnumbered and temporarily behind. To what extent the victory can be attributed to the new coach remains to be seen.

After all, the team was led by “oldies” such as Belözoglu and Demirel before resuming play. It is quite possible that these two players will continue to serve as coaching assistants next season. Emre Belözoglu announced his retirement after the season last week anyway.

Will the starting eleven remain unchanged?

In the cup game against Trabzonspor, Tahir Karapinar will have to do without Tuse (suspended) as well as Kruse (injured) and Ciftpinar (injured). Minimal changes will be expected in the squad. For Mevlüt Erdinc, Vedat Muriqi is expected to take the lead. After all, the Kosovar striker with 16 goals is the most dangerous player in the Fenerbahce squad. If Fenerbahce can assert itself against Trabzonspor, attractive odds are paid for tip 1.

Probable lineup of Fenerbahce:
Bayindir – Türüc, Falette, Aziz, Dirar – Belözoglu, Gustavo – Rodrigues, Zajc, Kadioglu – Muriqi

Trabzonspor – Statistics & current form

It is undoubtedly one of Trabzonspor’s best seasonal accomplishments in this century. The Black Sea Club senses the chance of the big title coup for the first time since the controversial Süper Lig season 2010/11. The Bordeaux Blues are the hottest title candidate in the league and can even close the almost perfect season with a double win. But the upcoming match is groundbreaking.

Trabzonspor already set the course for the final of the Türkiye Kupasi with the home win in the cup first leg. After the re-start of the Süper Lig was successfully mastered with a 3-1 away win at Göztepe, the Bordeaux-Blues want to reload in Istanbul and end the losing streak at the hatred opponent Fenerbahce.

How strong the Black Sea footballers are this season has recently been impressively demonstrated. Despite being outnumbered, Trabzonspor won a largely safe away win for the yellow-red team from Izmir. Since Galatasaray gave up feathers on the last match day, at least one pursuer is still kept at a distance.

Let muscles play on the offensive

With 62 goals in 27 games, Trabzonspor is the best offensive in the Süper Lig. These statistics are thanks, among other things, to the ex-coach Ünal Karaman. Over the past two seasons, Karaman has mainly relied on the offensive game and especially let the youngsters play. Home grown plants such as Asan, Erdogan, Kilinc and Tunc are currently waiting for minutes of use.

On Tuesday evening, Hüseyin Cimsir will have to do without Guilherme, Sari, Canbaz and also Sosa. Compared to the starting eleven against Göztepe there will be some changes in the cup second leg against Fenerbahce. Ömür is expected to play Guilherme’s role on the right wing. In the middle of the field you can count on Ndiaye.

Goalgetter Sörloth, however, remains at the top. The Norwegian has already scored 25 goals across all competitions, making him one of the guarantors of success this season.

Probable lineup of Trabzonspor:
Cakir – Novak, Campi, da Costa, Pereira – Parmak, Ndiaye – Nwakaeme, Ekuban, Ömür

Bad omen for Fenerbahce?

In the past two years there have been no large riots among the fan groups, but the explosiveness on the field was still there. With the recent 2-1 home win, the course was set for the cup final. In the Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium (Ülker Stadium) in Fenerbahce, the Black Sea soccer players have been victorious across all competitions since 1997. It is quite possible that the negative series will continue, especially since the canaries are known for their special derby mentality.

Fenerbahce vs Trabzonspor Soccer Betting Tips

Fenerbahce reaches for the last straw. In order to at least do some damage limitation in this disappointing season, the canaries can still win the Turkish Cup. According to the latest performance at the restart of the Süper Lig, there is not really much to be said for winning the 19-time Turkish champions.
