2.Bundesliga Soccer Betting Tips (2nd matchday)
The first matchday of the 2. Bundesliga has been completed and with Erzgebirge Aue brought with it a first league leader, whose stay in the first place will probably be of limited duration. Instead, the big north clubs Hamburger SV (2: 1 against Fortuna Düsseldorf) and Hannover 96 (2: 0 against Karlsruher SC) are expected at the top, both of which were able to underline their ambitions for promotion with a home win at the start. Even 1. FC Nürnberg has not a few observers on the list, despite the almost relegation at the end of last season. The club, however, had to be content with a 1-1 draw at SSV Jahn Regensburg at the beginning, as did VfL Bochum (2-2 against FC St. Pauli), which was also hotly traded after a strong final spurt in the previous season.
So both of them fared even better than the Bundesliga relegated Fortuna Düsseldorf and SC Paderborn (0: 1 at Holstein Kiel), who also started back in class with a bankruptcy. Just like SV Darmstadt 98 (2: 3 at SV Sandhausen), which some experts believe will play a good role.
The table will not give a reliable picture on the second matchday either, but the first tendencies can then be derived. We definitely took a closer look at three of the upcoming pairings.
VfL Osnabruck vs Hannover 96 Soccer Betting Tips
VfL Osnabrück started the second year after promotion, which was often described as more difficult, with a decent 1: 1 at SpVgg Greuther Fürth, with the purple-whites, also having a bit of luck. Nevertheless, the point win in the first second division game of the new coach Marco Grote serves as a source of encouragement for VfL, who in addition to the painful departures of goal scorer Marcos Alvarez, youngster Felix Agu and playmaker Anas Ouahim also had to cope with the departure of Moritz Heyer at short notice Coach Daniel Thioune followed to Hamburger SV.
Hanover coach Kenan Kocak was meanwhile not satisfied with the performance of his team in the game against KSC, but the fact that the Lower Saxony went off the field as winners say something as much about the quality in the squad as the luxury, players like Linton Maina and Kingsley Schindler to get off the bank. It is no coincidence that Hannover is considered a hot candidate for promotion. Especially because of an enormously strong offensive with the powerful goalscorer Marvin Ducksch and Hendrik Weygandt, who is always capable of decisive actions.
That will certainly be the case again in Osnabrück, where we see 96 as a much better staffed and much more experienced team.
Betting Tips: Hannover wins
FC St. Pauli vs 1. FC Heidenheim Soccer Betting Tips
For FC St. Pauli it looked like a bad start into the new season before Daniel-Kofi Kyereh managed to score 2-2 at VfL Bochum with a double in the closing minutes. With bankruptcy, it would have been restless again early on after the end of the DFB Cup at SV Elversberg (2: 4) around the Millerntor. But as it is, the new coach Timo Schultz has a week to work in peace with his significantly changed team and to remedy any remaining weaknesses. Whether Kyereh, who is actually intended for a hanging role, will start again at the top depends largely on whether the injured attackers Simon Makienok and Borys Tashchy are available in Bochum.
1. FC Heidenheim also said goodbye early in the cup but showed a strong reaction to the 0-1 defeat at SV Wehen Wiesbaden at the start of the second division. Against Eintracht Braunschweig, the FCH won 2-0 at home and indicated that they could play a good role again despite some painful departures. Coach veteran Frank Schmidt can be trusted to compensate for the losses of key players like Niklas Dorsch, Sebastian Griesbeck, or Tim Kleindienst in such a way that the FCH can once again get involved in the front third.
We do not expect an easy task for Heidenheim on St. Pauli. Also spurred on by the late draw in Bochum, we expect self-confident Kiez kickers who absolutely want to score. From our point of view, this can and will succeed, but not in three ways.
Betting Tips: Draw
SC Paderborn vs Hamburger SV Soccer Betting Tips
Hamburger SV had the worst possible start, the 1: 4 defeat in the DFB Cup at Dynamo Dresden, including Toni Leistner’s freak out after the game. Against Fortuna Düsseldorf, HSV delivered a convincing performance in the first league game under coach Daniel Thioune. In particular, the newly signed striker Simon Terodde underlined his qualities and put together a double. But even beyond the 32-year-old attacker, HSV gave the impression last weekend that a strong team can grow together. With this assessment, of course, restraint is the order of the day, as there have been convincing games and phases again and again in the last two years.
SC Paderborn meanwhile suffered a deserved 0-1 defeat at Holstein Kiel at the start. Especially in the offensive, which was actually the trump card of coach Steffen Baumgart’s team in recent years, little came together for the SCP. In this regard, an increase is imperative if it is not to set another bankruptcy against HSV. Even then, there would be no mood of crisis in Paderborn, as the East Westphalia region has by no means set itself the goal of a direct resurgence, but rather a carefree season for consolidation.
If HSV can confirm the performance of the game against Düsseldorf, Paderborn will find themselves in the table cellar after the second matchday. In our opinion, the individual class of Terodde and Co. alone will be decisive in favor of the guests.
Betting Tips: Hamburg wins
