The next friendly stands for VfB Stuttgart. In La Manga / Spain they meet KV Oostende (13th place of the Jupiler Pro League). For the Stuttgarters, who defeated Twente 2-1 yesterday, it continues this afternoon. The “old new savior” Gomez met directly to the debut & in general it was a decent performance of the Swabians with a lot of outgrown chances to score. For them, it’s already the sixth day in the training camp & according to Hannes Wolf, all the guys pull along very well & grow together again as a team to grab their goal relegation – the attitude is right. Wolf will certainly give all players the opportunity to prove themselves, more is unfortunately only shortly before the game begins. In yesterday’s game, they played as follows:

First half; Ron-Robert Zieler – Dennis Aogo, Marcin Kaminski, Andreas Beck, Benjamin Pavard, Berkay Özcan, Christian Gentner (C), Dzenis Burnic, Chadrac Akolo, Mario Gomez, Takuma Asano
Second half; Alexander Meyer – Emiliano Insua, Timo Baumgartl, Marcin Kaminski, Andreas Beck, Nicolas Sessa, Dzenis Burnic (62 ‘Orel Mangala), Santiago Ascacibar, Ailton, Takuma Asano (62’ Anastasios Donis), Daniel Ginczek (C)

At Ostend you can mention that today they are the third day in Spain and also completed a lot of strength training etc. At Ostend still missing Rajsel & Musona (important striker). In the end, I think that all players should be fit, even if all had a few days off, both this team, and the Stuttgart. Defining it, who wins, etc., would be wrong in my opinion. Stuttgart clearly has the individually better squad & a clear goal in mind, what the players (apparently) have internalized.

Prediction Today:Stuttgart wins.
