The Lawn Tennis Association have dismissed claims that Boris Becker will join as a coach to help develop British talent.

The six-time grand slam champion was recently linked to the position of men’s head coach, following the departure of Paul Annacone.

Despite Becker expressing his desire to coach, the LTA have denied the claims.

“The Lawn Tennis Association is not involved in any dialogue with Boris Becker or his representatives about a role at the LTA,” an LTA spokesman said.

The LTA are in desperate need of an experienced coach, as with the exception of Andy Murray, they are without a player in the world top 200.
