Darts PDC Home Tour 2020: favorites, mode, schedule & betting odds

Live darts every day with stars like almost all star players

The Darts Home Tour 2020 starts today! Balsam for the battered athlete and darts soul was the recent show duel of living legends for a good cause. As of Friday, the newly launched PDC Home Tour will set new standards with daily live games for over a month.

The official darts association has held talks with the 128 Tourcard holders and is now presenting a never-before-seen new darts online tournament with webcam & Co. from the living rooms of the best players on the planet. Every player with a Tourcard is invited to take part in the event, so that Max Hopp, Gabriel Clemens, Mensur Suljovic and Co. will probably also step forward.
Before the start of the PDC Home Tour, the betting base compiled all relevant information on game mode, TV and live stream times, favorites and betting odds. It also clarifies the purpose of the tournament, whether prize money will be distributed and whether the Order of Merit changes due to the games taking place.

PDC Home Tour mode

Round robin group games with 4 participants (6 games)
All games are played in the short Bo9 mode (First to 5 Legs)
The first named player in the pairing starts the odd legs
The games take place between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
The group winner qualifies for the 2nd round
In the event of a tie, the leg difference decides, then the direct comparison
Participants: The 128 Tourcard holders of the PDC

PDC Home Tour Daily Betting & Predictions

Logically, not only the sport is in the foreground, but also the sports weather is looking for the best PDC Home Tour bets. At first glance, it looks like there are numerous interesting odds available.

Luke Humphries is not an unknown face on the Darts Home Tour, because he has already participated in a Wednesday exhibition with Ted Evetts and Co. On Tuesday he is the group head in season 5. That the prognosis in the direction of the English automatically falls on the PDC Home Tour is not guaranteed.

Devon Petersen should also have little chance of winning the day. The betting base sees the aspiring hatch ahead, especially since the favorite odds are not as clear as on some days before.

PDC Home Tour April 21 – betting odds

Humphries vs. Kenny
1: 1.53 2: 2.37
Petersen vs. Murnan
1: 1.61 2: 2.20
Kenny vs. Murnan
1: 1.72 2: 2.00
Humphries vs. Petersen
1: 1.66 2: 2.10
Petersen vs. Kenny
1: 1.61 2: 2.20
Murnan vs. Humphries
1: 2.75 2: 1.40

On April 22, James Wade is again an outstanding athlete. The Machine has been in the top 3 behind Taylor and Barney for years. In the end, however, the trained auto mechanic ran out of steam. Accordingly, on the PDC Home Tour we consider the betting odds on calves for tips to be unprofitable. Rather, outsider tips should be in the foreground.

Ryan Searle in particular has a good chance of winning the season 6 season.

Ryan Meikle and Gavin Carlin have less chance of outsiders at PDC Home Tour bookmakers for group win bets. Gaga actually sees the betting base with good chances, but with the low betting odds, tips on the Germans are hardly profitable anymore.

Where and when does the PDC Home Tour come on TV & Stream?

Not least because of the amateurish quality in terms of exposure and camera equipment, the games are not broadcast on TV or streamed on DAZN. However, the matches of the PDC Home Tour can be viewed on the PDCTV website after the account creation. In addition, PDCTV will also make the Darts Home Tour stream available via the company’s own social media channels. It is guaranteed that all games can be viewed at no cost.

PDC Home Tour: TV / Stream & Time

Time: daily from 8:30 p.m.
TV / Stream: PDC.TV website and possibly social media channels
Mode: Best of 9 (First to 5)
Group mode: Round Robin

Who takes part in the PDC Home Tour?

All 128 Tourcard holders of the PDC, who are supposed to compete against each other in 32 groups of 4 players, received an invitation to the PDC Home Tour 2020. It is uncertain whether all players accepted the invitation or individual actors did not participate due to private commitments.

So far, the PDC has published the participants of the first four groups. The great line-up starts with world champion Peter Wright on Friday. On Saturday follows Gerwyn Price, who was probably the best darts player in the world after Michael van Gerwen in autumn 2019. Austria’s fans can look forward to the appearance of Rowby-John Rodriguez.

The highlight players on Sunday and Monday are Dave Chisnall and Lisa Ashton. The latter had become the first woman ever to win the Q-School in winter and thus received the Tourcard.

Many fans will ask: Is Darts Queen Fallon Sherrock also taking part in the PDC Home Tour? Unfortunately, the question has to be answered in the negative, because Sherrock missed the Tourcard in January, so that Sherrock is not allowed to take part in the PDC Home Tour. A back door is at a maximum that the PDC Sherrock issues a wildcard in the event of a canceling tourcard holder.

A real favorite, by the way, was eliminated without any sporting activity – with Gary Anderson, the internet connection is not stable enough.

Prize money for the Order of Merit: what incentive does the event offer?

Even if the pros would like to see it, there will be no direct incentive in the form of prize money for the Order of Merit for the PDC Home Tour 2020. The type of tournament schedule differs too clearly from other tournaments with spectators or at least “writers” at the Players Championships.

Prize money in high sums is unthinkable because it is much harder to generate high sponsorship money with this event. However, it can be assumed that the darts professionals will receive an allowance. Otherwise, the joy of returning to the semi-public darts stage and the sporting competition with the top stars of the scene prevail.

PDC boss Barry Hearn sums it up: “I am very pleased that we can offer fans live darts in unprecedented times!”

Betting Tips an Odds – PDC Home Tour 2020

The PDC has apparently managed to put together a tournament with all or almost all darts professionals without violating exit and travel restrictions. From April 17, 2020 there will be live darts every evening for over a month.

Key facts – Home Tour betting

Daily live darts from 8:30 p.m.
Favorite rates below 1.20 are extremely dangerous with the short mode
The 32 group winners qualify for the second tournament phase
Gary Anderson is not participating due to a weak internet connection

In the PDC Darts Home Tour 2020, the odds on favorites for potential tips are a game with fire, as the current shape curve of Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price and Co. is difficult to assess. Logically, numerous surprise victories appear in the course of the tournament.

Of course, all results, tables and available betting odds are updated regularly.

2 Peter Wright 3 – 4 – 1
3 Peter Jacques 3 – 2 – 1
4 Niels Zonneveld 3 – 2 – -5

The PDC Home Tour is on April 17th. Betting against world champion Peter Wright is quite interesting as the Scotsman received incredibly low betting odds, even though the match distance with Best of 9 Legs is extremely short. Even on the European Tour there are always big surprises and at least up to six winning legs are played.

In addition, the importance of the webcam tournament is not as high as for the usual events in the darts calendar. For this reason, the qualitative differences between athletes are likely to dissolve a little. Another argument against the PDC Home Tour favorites betting odds is that the shape of the players is almost impossible to assess.

For example, in a recent interview for Sport1, Max Hopp openly admitted that he currently doesn’t train more than an hour a day. The same applies to Martin Schindler.
