Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is confident Gareth Bale will be fit for next month’s UEFA Champions League clash with AC Milan.
The 21-year-old winger lasted just nine minutes of Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Newcastle last weekend after limping off with a back injury.
First fears suggested the Welsh wizard would have to undergo surgery on what has been a niggling problem.
However, he should only be out for 10 days and Bale is expected to feature when Redknapp’s side travel to the San Siro to take on the Rossoneri on 15th February.
“He won’t need an operation. He should be fit in 10 days,” Redknapp said.
“He’ll make the Milan game in the San Siro, all being well.”
Bale’s last visit to the famous stadium resulted in a wonderful performance, as he netted a hat-trick in a thrilling 4-3 defeat by Inter Milan.
However, before the clash with Milan he will miss Premier League ties against Blackburn, Bolton and Sunderland as well as this weekend’s FA cup match with Fulham.
