Workforce BC decision imminent

Workforce’s connections are set to decide this weekend if the Epsom Derby and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner goes for the Breeders’ Cup Turf on November 6.

Sir Michael Stoute and co have been deliberating whether to send the brilliant colt over to Churchill Downs to bid for Stateside glory.

His last run was that sensational return to top form in the Arc as he gamely scored in the most valuable race in Europe.

“There’s no news about Workforce. There will be a decision over the weekend,” said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Prince Khalid Abdullah.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Workforce’s participation in America, bookmakers have the lightly-raced King’s Best colt as the favourite at around 2-1 for the mile and a half contest.
