All DR Congo players called up for the March 27 AFCON third round qualifier against Mauritius have arrived in the country’s capital Kinshasa, DR Congo FA said Thursday.

Initially doubtful for the encounter due to injuries, West Bromwich Albion midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu joined the outfit a day ago, while Lelo Mbele of Al-Nasr Benghazi, who had difficulties flying out of Libya, finally arrived and his name was immediately rostered, according to reports.

The Leopards had two training sessions of fitness and field play on Wednesday at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, where the encounter will hold. A similar exercise is expected to take place on Thursday, but the team’s French-born manager Robert Nouzaret said assistant coach Santos Mutubile would be absent during the day, with no reasons given.

The sessions would be sliced to one per day from Friday to Saturday, according to coach Nouzaret.

DR Congo are third in Group E with just a single point obtained from an awesome 1-1 tie against the Indomitable Lions in Cameroon during the second round of the qualifiers, prompting some analysts to dub the Congolese as underdogs of the group topped by Senegal (6pts).

A number of previews say the Leopards will walk over the Les Dodos of Mauritius, who are yet to rake a point after playing two games.
