Sky Sports will screen delayed coverage of Matthew Hatton’s world-title tilt.

Ricky’s younger brother is scheduled to take on Mexican sensation Saul Alvarez for the WBC light-middleweight belt in Anaheim, California on Saturday night.

And you can see the whole fight on Sunday evening, from 6.30pm on Sky Sports 2.

Hatton is stepping up from welterweight, where he is the European champion, and could replace none other than Manny Pacquiao, who has given up the WBC strap at 154lbs.

He is the underdog against Alvarez who is only 20, but is unbeaten in 36 fights (35-0-1) and is seen as Golden Boy Promotions next big thing.

But the fight is already under a cloud due to an issue over the weights.

The pair were originally slated to meet in a non-title fight at a catchweight of 150lbs (10st 10lbs) but once Pacquiao had vacated, the WBC agreed to make their 154lbs (11st) title available.

Ricky Hatton, who promotes Matthew, says they signed a contract to fight only at the original weight of 10st 10lbs and has threatened to pull his brother out if Alvarez comes in over that limit – even though he would not be breaking the governing body’s regulations.

To add to the confusion, the weigh-in will take place in Anaheim at Friday lunchtime, more than the usual 24 hours before fight time – which will also give Alvarez time to put on even more weight.

You can see the weigh-in on Sky Sports News on Friday.
